Tom Phillips has written and self-published seven books. He is a working geologist and lives in Texas.

He has worked and lived in many countries (Somalia, Egypt, Indonesia, and England), and has an appreciation of different cultures. He has a passion for science, politics, world events, and likes to write about them. He has two daughters, and his wife is from El Salvador.
